252- The IPC mining interface now requires mining clients to use the latest253`mining.capnp` schema. Clients built against older schemas will fail when254calling `Init.makeMining` and receive an RPC error indicating the old mining255interface is no longer supported. Mining clients must update to the latest256schema and regenerate bindings to continue working. (#34568)257- `Mining.createNewBlock` now has a `cooldown` behavior (enabled by default)258that waits for IBD to finish and for the tip to catch up. This usually prevents259a flood of templates during startup, but is not guaranteed. (#34184)260- `Mining.interrupt()` can be used to interrupt `Mining.waitTipChanged` and261`Mining.createNewBlock`. (#34184)262- `Mining.createNewBlock` and `Mining.checkBlock` now require a `context`263parameter.264- `Mining.waitTipChanged` now has a default `timeout` (effectively infinite /265`maxDouble`) if the client omits it.266- `BlockTemplate.getCoinbaseTx()` now returns a structured `CoinbaseTx` instead267of raw bytes.268- Removed `BlockTemplate.getCoinbaseCommitment()` and269`BlockTemplate.getWitnessCommitmentIndex()`.270- Cap’n Proto default values were updated to match the corresponding C++271defaults for mining-related option structs (e.g. `BlockCreateOptions`,272`BlockWaitOptions`, `BlockCheckOptions`).274Credits275=======277Thanks to everyone who directly contributed to this release:279- 0xb10c280- Alexander Wiederin281- Alfonso Roman Zubeldia282- amisha283- ANAVHEOBA284- Andrew Toth285- Anthony Towns286- Antoine Poinsot287- ANtutov288- Anurag chavan289- Ava Chow290- bensig291- Ben Westgate292- billymcbip293- b-l-u-e294- Brandon Odiwuor295- brunoerg296- Bruno Garcia297- Calin Culianu298- Carl Dong299- Chandra Pratap300- Chris Stewart301- Coder302- Cory Fields303- da1sychain304- Daniela Brozzoni305- Daniel Pfeifer306- David Gumberg307- dergoegge308- Dmitry Goncharov309- Enoch Azariah310- Eugene Siegel311- Fabian Jahr312- fanquake313- Fibonacci747314- flack315- frankomosh316- furszy317- glozow318- Greg Sanders319- Hao Xu320- Hennadii Stepanov321- Henry Romp322- Hodlinator323- ismaelsadeeq324- janb84325- jayvaliya326- joaonevess327- John Moffett328- Josh Doman329- kevkevinpal330- l0rinc331- Luke Dashjr332- Mara van der Laan333- MarcoFalke334- marcofleon335- Martin Zumsande336- Matthew Zipkin337- Max Edwards338- Murch339- Musa Haruna340- naiyoma341- nervana21342- Novo343- optout344- pablomartin4btc345- Padraic Slattery346- Pieter Wuille347- Pol Espinasa348- pythcoiner349- rkrux350- Robin David351- Roman Zeyde352- rustaceanrob353- Ryan Ofsky354- SatsAndSports355- scgbckbone356- Sebastian Falbesoner357- sedited358- seduless359- Sergi Delgado Segura360- Sjors Provoost361- SomberNight362- sstone363- stickies-v364- stratospher365- stringintech366- Suhas Daftuar367- tboy1337368- TheCharlatan369- Tim Ruffing370- Vasil Dimov371- w0xlt372- WakeTrainDev373- Weixie Cui374- willcl-ark375- Woolfgm376- yancy377- Yash Bhutwala378- yuvicc379- zaidmstrr381As well as to everyone that helped with translations on382[Transifex](https://explore.transifex.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/).
