1Bitcoin Core version *0.15.0.1* is now available from:3<https://bitcoin.org/bin/bitcoin-core-0.15.0.1/>5and7<https://bitcoincore.org/bin/bitcoin-core-0.15.0.1/>9This is a minor bug fix for 0.15.0.11Please report bugs using the issue tracker at GitHub:13<https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues>15To receive security and update notifications, please subscribe to:17<https://bitcoincore.org/en/list/announcements/join/>19How to Upgrade20==============22If you are running an older version, shut it down. Wait until it has completely23shut down (which might take a few minutes for older versions), then run the24installer (on Windows) or just copy over `/Applications/Bitcoin-Qt` (on Mac)25or `bitcoind`/`bitcoin-qt` (on Linux).27The first time you run version 0.15.0 or higher, your chainstate database will28be converted to a new format, which will take anywhere from a few minutes to29half an hour, depending on the speed of your machine.31The file format of `fee_estimates.dat` changed in version 0.15.0. Hence, a32downgrade from version 0.15.0 or upgrade to version 0.15.0 will cause all fee33estimates to be discarded.35Note that the block database format also changed in version 0.8.0 and there is no36automatic upgrade code from before version 0.8 to version 0.15.0. Upgrading37directly from 0.7.x and earlier without redownloading the blockchain is not supported.38However, as usual, old wallet versions are still supported.40Downgrading warning41-------------------43The chainstate database for this release is not compatible with previous44releases, so if you run 0.15 and then decide to switch back to any45older version, you will need to run the old release with the `-reindex-chainstate`46option to rebuild the chainstate data structures in the old format.48If your node has pruning enabled, this will entail re-downloading and49processing the entire blockchain.51Compatibility52==============54Bitcoin Core is extensively tested on multiple operating systems using55the Linux kernel, macOS 10.8+, and Windows Vista and later. Windows XP is not supported.57Bitcoin Core should also work on most other Unix-like systems but is not58frequently tested on them.60Notable changes61===============63GUI startup crash issue64-------------------------66After upgrade to 0.15.0, some clients would crash at startup because a custom67fee setting was configured that no longer exists in the GUI. This is a minimal68patch to avoid this issue from occuring.700.15.0.1 Change log71====================73- #11332 `46c8d23` Fix possible crash with invalid nCustomFeeRadio in QSettings (achow101, TheBlueMatt)75Also the manpages were updated, as this was forgotten for 0.15.0.77Credits78=======80Thanks to everyone who directly contributed to this release:82- Andrew Chow83- Matt Corallo84- Jonas Schnelli85- Wladimir J. van der Laan87As well as everyone that helped translating on [Transifex](https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/bitcoin/).
